Serving Opportunities

Our human tendency is to serve ourselves, but Jesus calls us beyond that. As Christ followers we are called to serve God and serve others. Serving at WhiteRose is a simple way to follow the call of Jesus and love others in our church family. Every act of service matters to God.

For the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
— Mark 10:45

why do we serve?

we serve Jesus

Jesus tells us when we serve others in His name, we are also serving Him: “Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you did it to me.” (Matthew 25:40) We participate in His work of the gospel by serving one another in love.

jesus serves us

When Jesus calls us to serve others, he isn't asking us to do anything he hasn't done for us. Our service is driven by gratitude for God's love and presence in our lives, and the way he has served us and loved us first.

intimacy with jesus

We believe that serving flows out of a relationship with Jesus. Because of the love that he pours into us, we have love in order to pour into others. It's important for us to be giving out of Jesus' strength, and not our own.
